Overview

Are you a creative designer with a passion for visual storytelling and impactful design? Join the Ontario Energy Board as a Graphic Designer and play a key role in shaping how we communicate with the public and our internal teams.

Reporting to the Manager, you’ll lead the design and development of compelling visual content that supports the OEB’s strategic goals and enhances employee engagement. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to create engaging digital and print materials that bring our message to life.

This is a 12-month contract position with the posibility of extending.

Responsibilities

  • Create and design for a variety of audiences and platforms while upholding OEB’s brand standards.
  • Design digital and print materials to support communications plans and programs to further the understanding of Ontario Energy Board’s objectives, programs, and services.
  • Provide creative advice to internal clients and bring a fresh, engaging, and branded look to the products.
  • Design and provide oversight of the production of externally facing print products and graphic content for social media channels.
  • Design and develop animation and motion content to drive traffic to OEB’s website and social channels.
  • As required, work with external graphic design firms, printers, and other vendors to produce high-quality work, and ensure timelines are achieved.
  • Produce and edit corporate videos.
  • Recommend and establish integrity by developing communication standards and protocols.
  • Utilize conceptual skills, creative thinking, and strong design abilities to all projects.
  • Maintain expert level knowledge of relevant design and analytics tools and latest technologies and recommend communication enhancements.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related discipline.
  • Minimum: 3 years’ experience designing and developing creative production through print and digital channels.
  • Preferred: 4 years’ experience designing creative production with marketing experience in a regulatory industry or public utility setting. French language is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (all Applications)
  • Proficient in content management systems, video production, graphic design software.
  • Experience with general web site maintenance and web applications.
