Overview
The Ontario Energy Board is undertaking a multi-year business transformation and enterprise modernization program focused on modernizing business processes, digital capabilities and supporting technology platforms through Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform and other modern technologies.
As part of the transformation team, the Project Manager leads the day-to-day planning, coordination and delivery of projects across the program. Working closely with business stakeholders and the Systems Integrator and delivery partners, the role supports successful delivery through integrated planning, governance, financial management and benefits tracking, executive reporting and coordinated execution across multiple workstreams.
Success in this role requires sound judgement, initiative, adaptability and the ability to quickly assimilate complex information, bring structure to ambiguity, and translate evolving business needs into practical delivery approaches that support effective executive decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day planning, coordination and execution of projects across the transformation program, maintaining integrated plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, implementation roadmaps and critical dependencies while coordinating delivery across OEB, the Systems Integrator and supporting stakeholders.
- Support in the development and execution of effective program governance, delivery controls and project management practices, applying the most appropriate delivery methodologies based on the needs of individual workstreams and the overall program.
- Assist in the development of executive governance materials, dashboards, presentations and decision papers that support executive leadership, governance forums, financial management, benefits tracking, resource planning and informed decision-making.
- Identify, assess and communicate strategic program risks, dependencies and delivery issues, supporting timely executive awareness, mitigation planning and effective decision-making.
- Plan and facilitate governance meetings, planning workshops and cross-functional working sessions that promote collaboration, alignment and delivery.
- Coordinate testing, deployment, cutover and implementation readiness activities in collaboration with business, technology and quality assurance teams.
- Maintain program documentation, governance records, decision logs, information repositories and delivery artefacts that support transparency, continuity and audit readiness.
- Strengthen program delivery through reporting, automation, Microsoft Power Platform and AI-enabled productivity tools. Contribute to the continuous improvement of program governance, delivery practices and OEB's broader transformation capability
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of progressive experience leading complex business and technology transformation initiatives, including project planning, stakeholder coordination and delivery management.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex workstreams independently, exercising sound judgement and delivering practical outcomes in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into clear executive presentations, governance materials and recommendations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using modern project management, collaboration and reporting tools.
Preferred
- Experience delivering enterprise transformation initiatives using Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid delivery approaches, including organizational change management and business readiness activities.
- Experience with Microsoft business technologies such as Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Power BI or AI-enabled productivity tools, MS Project, Azure DevOps, Project for the Web or equivalent.
- Demonstrated success collaborating across multidisciplinary teams in matrixed organizations with multiple internal and external delivery partners.
- Familiarity with government delivery environments, case management modernization, or regulatory systems is preferred.
